D2C Fulfillment Lead Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM | On-Site — Canton, NC Reports to:
Operations Coordinator Pay:
$22-26/hr DOE Position Overview We're hiring a process-driven D2C Fulfillment Lead to run the day-to-day floor of our Direct-to-Consumer fulfillment operation. This is a hands-on working Lead role. You'll be picking, packing, and shipping alongside the team — and you'll be the person who owns whether the day runs correctly. Order accuracy, workflow sequencing, discrepancy resolution, and SOP adherence sit with you. This is not a basic packing position. It's the role where problems land. Key Responsibilities Pick, scan, verify, pack, and process D2C orders accurately. Verify products, SKUs, quantities, order details, labels, and batch information before anything ships. Identify and resolve inventory, order, barcode, address, shipping, and system discrepancies. Follow and enforce established SOPs, quality-control, and inventory procedures. Sequence daily workflow and priorities to hit ship cutoffs. Answer process and workflow questions from D2C team members and provide clear direction. Coordinate with Customer Care, Inventory, Production, B2B, and Operations to resolve cross-department issues. Investigate problems to root cause, determine next steps, and escalate with a full picture rather than a symptom. Systems & Technology This is a technology-dependent role. You'll work across multiple systems every day: ShipStation, ShipStation Connect, Katana, Shopify, Gorgias, Asana, Slack, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and macOS — plus barcode scanners, thermal printers, digital scales, and tablets. Experience with these specific platforms is preferred, not required. Strong technical aptitude and fast system learning are required. What We're Looking For Exceptional attention to detail under volume pressure Strong critical thinking and problem-solving A process-oriented, resolution-focused mindset Ability to manage multiple competing priorities Ownership and follow-through — you close loops Professional communication and composure when something goes wrong Ability to work independently after training Ability to give respectful, clear direction to coworkers Judgment about when an issue is yours to solve and when it needs to escalate We need someone who doesn't stop at "there's a problem." We need someone who asks: What happened? What have I already checked? What needs to happen next? Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older. Previous fulfillment, shipping, warehouse, inventory, logistics, e-commerce, or order-processing experience. Strong computer and organizational skills. Demonstrated accuracy and problem-solving in an operational environment. Ability to follow detailed SOPs and hold accuracy standards under pressure.
Preferred:
D2C/e-commerce fulfillment, ShipStation, Shopify, Katana or comparable WMS/MRP, quality control, inventory control, prior Lead experience. Physical Requirements Extended standing and walking, repetitive picking/packing/scanning, bending, reaching, and safely moving products and shipping materials. [Confirm actual lift weight — recommend stating it.] The Right Fit This is for someone accurate, organized, accountable, technically capable, and comfortable being the person problems get handed to. Candidates who require constant supervision, take shortcuts, get frustrated by operational problems, or prefer to pass problems along rather than investigate them will not be successful here. We hire, train, and build champions. We're generous, but not naive.
