Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Forklift Operator to support our warehouse operations during day shift. In this role, you will assist the Warehouse Supervisor with daily operations, help maintain the safe and efficient movement of materials using forklift equipment, support inventory accuracy, and assist with coordinating warehouse associates. 704-477-9026 Duties Support the Supervisor in the day shift warehouse activities, including forklift operation, shipping & receiving, and inventory management Asist the team of warehouse associates, providing clear direction and communication to ensure productivity and safety Asist monitoring the operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners to facilitate efficient warehouse flow Monitor inventory control processes using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management systems like Extensive Implement process improvements aligned with lean management principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety protocols across all warehouse activities Coordinate with logistics teams to manage distribution center operations, including 3PL (third-party logistics) functions and e-commerce fulfillment Experience Proven experience in warehouse lead or assistant within a fast-paced distribution environment Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and materials handling equipment operation Hands-on experience with forklift operation, RF scanners, WMS (Warehouse Management System), and inventory management systems such as AS400 Demonstrated leadership skills in team management, including team leadership and managerial communication Familiarity with process improvement methodologies like lean management is highly desirable Knowledge of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehouse environments Mechanical aptitude or technical knowledge related to material handling equipment is a plus Prior experience working in heavy lifting environments and managing shipping & receiving processes Join us as a Day Shift Forklift where your leadership fuels operational excellence!
