Position Summary The Warehouse and Materials Coordinator is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials through the warehouse. This position combines hands-on warehouse work with inventory system updates, and limited backup assistance for deliveries. The employee must be able to adjust the work schedule when operational needs require an earlier start or a later departure.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Warehouse and Material Handling
- Receive, inspect, unload, and store materials delivered by vendors, company drivers, or field crews.
- Operate a forklift safely to load, unload, move, and organize materials.
- Pull, stage, and prepare the correct materials and quantities for pickup or delivery based on authorized requests.
- Load materials onto company vehicles and flatbeds while following safe loading and securing practices.
- Perform the physical work required to lift, carry, load, unload, and reposition construction materials throughout the workday.
- Maintain an orderly material flow and ensure materials are clearly identified, safely stacked, and stored in their assigned locations. Inventory and InFlow
- Record all material receipts, transfers, distributions, returns, and adjustments in InFlow or the designated inventory system on the same business day.
- Maintain accurate item quantities, locations, and supporting records in the inventory system.
- Perform scheduled cycle counts and monthly physical inventory counts; research and report discrepancies promptly.
- Monitor stock levels and notify the appropriate coordinator or manager before materials reach critical levels.
- Use company software, scanners, spreadsheets, and other tools required to manage inventory and warehouse records. Receiving and Inventory Documentation
- Verify all materials received against purchase orders, packing slips, delivery tickets, or other supporting documents. Confirm quantities, item descriptions, and condition, and promptly report any shortages, overages, damages, or discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to materials, deliveries, transfers, and other assigned warehouse transactions.
- Match receiving records, delivery tickets, packing slips, and invoices; identify missing information or discrepancies before submission.
- Maintain organized digital and physical records that allow transactions to be traced and verified. Delivery and Logistics Backup
- Provide backup coverage for the company delivery driver when needed because of an absence, emergency, or operational priority.
- Support Yaniris, or the designated Logistics lead, with specific delivery-related tasks when requested, including delivery coordination, status updates, and documentation.
- Confirm materials, quantities, addresses, contacts, and required paperwork before a delivery leaves the warehouse.
- Communicate delays, shortages, damages, or other delivery issues immediately to the appropriate manager. Safety Organization and Cleanliness
- Keep the warehouse, office storage areas, yard, loading areas, and shared workspaces clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Complete routine cleaning, trash removal, sweeping, and organization as part of daily warehouse responsibilities.
- Inspect the forklift and other assigned equipment before use and promptly report damage, maintenance needs, or unsafe conditions.
- Follow all company safety procedures, required personal protective equipment rules, and material handling practices. Schedule and Availability
- Maintain flexibility to report earlier than the normal start time or remain later when deliveries, material movement, inventory counts, or emergencies require coverage.
- Respond to reasonable schedule changes communicated by management based on business needs.
- Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality because warehouse and delivery operations depend on timely coverage. Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for operating company vehicles when assigned.
- Forklift operating experience and the ability to complete or maintain company-required forklift training or certification.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, pull, load, and unload heavy or bulky materials, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Comfort learning and using InFlow or similar inventory management software, email, spreadsheets, scanners, and other digital tools.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to keep inventory, and delivery records accurate.
- Ability to work independently, follow priorities, and manage warehouse, system, and delivery tasks efficiently.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to coordinate professionally with drivers, field teams, vendors, and office staff.
- English and Spanish bilingual communication preferred.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements This role regularly requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, and working around moving vehicles and equipment. Work may take place indoors and outdoors and may involve heat, cold, dust, noise, and changing weather conditions. - Inventory transactions are entered accurately and promptly, and physical inventory matches system records.
- Materials are received, staged, loaded, and delivered safely, correctly, and on time.
- Supporting documents are complete, organized, and submitted by the required deadline.
- The warehouse and yard remain clean, safe, and operationally ready.
- Schedule flexibility and backup coverage are provided reliably when business needs require them.
Pay:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
