The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation of the Extended Employment Program, daily warehouse operations and small assembly, packaging, fulfillment, and production projects that provide meaningful vocational training and work experiences for adults with disabilities. This position combines operational management with vocational rehabilitation principles by supervising participants, providing workplace coaching and skill development, ensuring quality standards, and fostering an inclusive, supportive work environment. The Warehouse Supervisor plays a critical role in advancing CVR's mission by helping participants develop vocational skills, workplace behaviors, independence, and confidence while meeting production goals and customer requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Warehouse Operations Oversee daily warehouse and assembly operations, including packaging, labeling, sorting, fulfillment, shipping, receiving, inventory management, and light manufacturing activities. Coordinate and supervise small assembly and contract production projects from initiation through completion. Establish daily production schedules and assign work to team members based on individual abilities and project requirements. Monitor workflow, productivity, and project timelines to ensure customer satisfaction and timely completion of contracts. Maintain inventory records and ensure accurate tracking of materials, supplies, and finished products. Conduct quality control inspections and implement corrective actions when necessary. Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment and tools. Maintain an organized, efficient, and safe warehouse environment. Performs other duties as directed to meet departmental and organizational needs. Participant Supervision and Vocational Training Directly supervise adults with intellectual, developmental, behavioral health, and other disabilities participating in vocational services. Provide hands-on job coaching, instruction, and support to participants engaged in warehouse and assembly work. Teach workplace skills, work habits, safety procedures, productivity expectations, and quality standards. Adapt training methods and job tasks to accommodate varying learning styles, abilities, and support needs. Monitor participant progress and provide documentation regarding vocational development and workplace performance. Encourage independence, self-confidence, teamwork, and positive workplace behaviors. Work collaboratively with vocational counselors, case managers, and program staff to support individualized vocational goals. Safety and Compliance Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, CARF standards, agency policies, and warehouse safety procedures. Conduct routine safety inspections and immediately address hazards or unsafe conditions. Train participants and staff on safe equipment operation and workplace safety practices. Document incidents, accidents, and corrective measures according to agency procedures. Promote a culture of safety, respect, and accountability. Administrative Responsibilities Complete production, attendance, inventory, and performance reports accurately and timely. Maintain records related to participant training, productivity, and program outcomes. Assist with contract management, project planning, and workflow improvements. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and program planning activities. Communicate project status and operational needs to management. Other duties as directed by management. Qualifications Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Manufacturing, Rehabilitation Services, Human Services, Special Education, or a related field preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of warehouse, manufacturing, production, or assembly experience. Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience required. Experience working with individuals with disabilities, vocational rehabilitation programs, workforce development programs, or human services organizations strongly preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping and receiving procedures. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to motivate, teach, and support individuals with diverse abilities. Understanding of vocational rehabilitation principles and person-centered services. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic inventory management systems. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, push, and pull materials. Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and tools. Pay:
