Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse Receiving Lead to oversee the efficient and accurate receipt of goods within our distribution center. This pivotal role combines leadership, process optimization, and hands-on material handling to ensure seamless inbound operations. As a key team member, you will guide a team of warehouse associates, manage inventory control processes, and uphold safety standards. Your proactive approach will drive continuous improvement in warehouse operations, supporting our commitment to delivering excellence in logistics and distribution. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the warehouse receiving team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of inbound shipments Oversee the operation of material handling equipment Coordinate with logistics partners to schedule deliveries and resolve any receiving discrepancies or issues Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software Implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency, reduce errors, and optimize space utilization Enforce safety protocols in compliance with OSHA standards, including proper use of materials handling equipment and heavy lifting procedures Conduct regular audits of inventory levels, perform cycle counts, and ensure inventory control accuracy Requirements Proven experience in warehouse operations, distribution center management, or similar roles with a focus on shipping & receiving Strong leadership skills with experience managing warehouse teams and communicating effectively at all levels Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and RF scanner technology Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts safely and efficiently; forklift certification is preferred Knowledge of lean management principles and process improvement methodologies Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety and materials handling practices Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual material handling tasks regularly Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and documentation Join us as a Warehouse Receiving Lead where your expertise will directly impact our operational success!
