Inventory & Fulfillment Lead / Botanical Installation Artist Floratorium Wood-Ridge, NJ Job Details Contract $28 - $35 an hour 22 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Referral program Qualifications Vendor relationship building Packing Assembly Attention to detail Organizational skills Warehouse experience Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized, resourceful, and hands-on Inventory & Fulfillment Lead to oversee Floratorium's inventory, material sourcing, vendor relationships, and project fulfillment across all U.S. markets. This role will serve as the central point of coordination between our Project Developers, creative team, warehouse, vendors, and installation teams—ensuring that every project has the right materials, in the right quantities, prepared and delivered at the right time. The primary focus of this position is inventory management, purchasing, sourcing, and fulfillment . The ideal candidate will also have a strong creative and hands-on sensibility and will be trained to participate as a Botanical Installation Artist , supporting select installations and helping bring Floratorium's botanical environments to life. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives at the intersection of operations, logistics, sourcing, craftsmanship, and design . ResponsibilitiesInventory, Purchasing & Fulfillment Lead and maintain Floratorium's inventory system across botanical materials, branches, florals, foliage, hardware, vessels, installation supplies, tools, and other project materials. Serve as the primary point of contact for inventory and material requests from Project Developers across all U.S. markets . Receive, review, organize, and fulfill project material orders based on approved project scopes, designs, and installation timelines. Create and manage detailed pick lists for every project , ensuring installation teams receive accurate quantities and materials. Pull, prepare, label, pack, and coordinate materials for projects and installations throughout the U.S. Monitor inventory levels and anticipate purchasing needs before materials become low or unavailable. Maintain accurate inventory counts and reconcile incoming materials, outgoing project allocations, returns, damages, and remaining stock. Coordinate purchasing and replenishment based on current projects, projected demand, and installation schedules. Manage the complete fulfillment process from material request through procurement, preparation, packing, shipping, and delivery. Work closely with Project Developers and installation teams to identify substitutions or solutions when materials are unavailable or timelines change. Help establish and continuously improve inventory systems, warehouse organization, labeling, storage, and fulfillment procedures. Vendors, Sourcing & Procurement Manage relationships with existing botanical, floral, hardware, vessel, fabrication, and specialty-material vendors. Place and track purchase orders and ensure materials arrive within required project timelines. Verify pricing, quantities, quality, lead times, and availability before orders are finalized. Proactively source new vendors, manufacturers, artisans, fabricators, and suppliers throughout the U.S. and internationally . Continuously expand Floratorium's material library and supplier network to provide the creative team with new botanical varieties, finishes, vessels, fabrication capabilities, and innovative materials. Negotiate pricing and identify opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency without compromising Floratorium's quality standards. Track vendor performance, pricing, lead times, minimums, and product quality. Maintain organized vendor records, product information, samples, pricing, and sourcing resources for the broader team. Warehouse & Inventory Operations Maintain an organized, efficient, and visually clear warehouse and material library. Establish designated locations and systems for all inventory categories. Conduct regular inventory counts and identify discrepancies. Receive deliveries, inspect materials for quality and accuracy, and properly enter and store incoming inventory. Identify damaged, discontinued, slow-moving, or reusable inventory and recommend appropriate action. Coordinate materials moving between warehouses, markets, project sites, and installation teams. Help develop scalable systems as Floratorium expands into additional markets. Botanical Installation Participate in select Floratorium installations as a Botanical Installation Artist , particularly when additional hands-on support is needed. Interpret creative proposals, renders, elevations, measurements, schematics, and installation plans. Prepare, assemble, shape, and install botanical materials according to Floratorium's creative direction and quality standards. Work with branches, foliage, florals, vessels, mounting systems, hardware, and custom fabricated elements. Use hand and power tools safely for assembly, anchoring, mounting, fabrication, and installation. Assist with on-site problem solving and material adjustments while maintaining the integrity of the approved design. Support installation breakdowns, maintenance visits, botanical refreshes, and material recovery when required. Travel occasionally to installation sites throughout the U.S. Skills & Qualifications Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Experience in inventory management, purchasing, procurement, warehouse operations, fulfillment, logistics, or supply-chain coordination . Ability to manage multiple projects, purchase orders, vendors, deadlines, and material requests simultaneously. Strong sourcing skills and confidence researching, contacting, evaluating, and negotiating with new suppliers. Experience creating and managing inventory systems, SKUs, pick lists, purchase orders, and material tracking. Comfortable working with spreadsheets, inventory-management platforms, and project-management systems. Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate effectively with Project Developers, vendors, artisans, and leadership. Resourceful problem solver who can quickly find alternatives when products are unavailable, delayed, discontinued, or outside budget. Comfortable working physically in a warehouse environment, including receiving, organizing, packing, lifting, and preparing materials. Hands-on experience with basic hand and power tools is strongly preferred. Experience in floral design, visual merchandising, event production, fabrication, set design, hospitality installations, landscaping, construction, or interior design is a plus. Ability to interpret renders, elevations, measurements, and basic technical drawings. Strong aesthetic sensibility and an appreciation for botanical design, materials, craftsmanship, and detail. Willingness to travel periodically for installations and special projects. The Ideal Candidate You are equal parts operator, sourcing detective, problem solver, and maker . You enjoy building systems and keeping inventory meticulously organized, but you are equally comfortable opening boxes, inspecting materials, preparing a project for shipment, calling a new supplier, or picking up a drill and helping an installation team on site. You understand that successful installations begin long before the team arrives at the property. Your work ensures that every Floratorium project is properly sourced, accurately fulfilled, carefully prepared, and ready for execution. As Floratorium continues to expand across the United States, this position will play an important role in building the inventory, vendor, procurement, and fulfillment infrastructure that supports that growth.
Pay:
$28.00 - $35.00 per hour
