Loading Supervisor Job Summary WCD is seeking a dependable and experienced Loading Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse loading operations. The Loading Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating loading activities, directing warehouse associates, ensuring orders are loaded accurately and safely, and maintaining an efficient workflow to support on-time deliveries. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily loading activities and warehouse personnel. Assign loading tasks and ensure employees understand priorities and expectations. Verify orders, quantities, products, and shipping documentation before loading. Ensure trucks and delivery vehicles are loaded accurately, safely, and efficiently. Organize products to maximize available space while preventing damage during transportation. Monitor loading schedules and ensure trucks are ready for timely departures. Inspect products and loads for accuracy, damage, and proper handling. Train, coach, and provide direction to warehouse employees. Promote a safe and organized warehouse environment. Ensure employees follow company policies, safety procedures, and proper material-handling practices. Communicate with warehouse, delivery, purchasing, and management teams regarding order or loading issues. Assist with resolving inventory discrepancies, damaged products, and shipping problems. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient loading area. Monitor employee productivity and help improve warehouse processes. Operate or oversee the safe operation of forklifts and other warehouse equipment, as applicable. Perform other warehouse and supervisory duties as assigned. Qualifications 2+ years of warehouse, loading, distribution, or logistics experience preferred. Previous supervisory or team-lead experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to communicate effectively with employees, drivers, and management. Ability to lift, move, and handle warehouse materials as required. Forklift experience/certification is preferred. Basic computer and inventory-system skills preferred. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic. Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
