Job Description

Job Summary Cobey's Shipping & Receiving Lead is a hands-on working leader responsible for coordinating and performing shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory support activities. This role ensures materials, parts, and finished goods are received, stored, staged, and shipped accurately and efficiently to support production schedules, customer requirements, and operational objectives while maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant work environment. Responsibilities Coordinate daily shipping, receiving, and material handling activities. Utilize inventory management software to accurately record data entry, track stock levels, and update order statuses. Lead and work alongside a small team of Shipping & Receiving Associates. Prepare, package, and load products for shipment using forklifts, cranes, and rigging equipment. Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and documentation. Coordinate pickups, deliveries, and shipment schedules with carriers. Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records. Ensure materials are properly staged and delivered to production areas. Communicate shipment status, material shortages, and receiving issues to internal stakeholders. Train team members on department procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices. Promote compliance with OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and housekeeping standards. Assist with continuous improvement efforts related to material flow, inventory accuracy, and warehouse organization. Qualifications 3-5 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material handling experience. Previous lead, coordinator, or senior-level experience preferred. Experience operating forklifts; crane and rigging experience preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read packing slips, bills of lading, purchase orders, and manufacturing documentation. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel required Experience with ComputerEase or similar business management software preferred. Understanding of inventory control and material traceability requirements. Knowledge of industrial valves, pipe fittings, gaskets, transmitters, etc. a plus Ability to lift 50+ pounds and safely handle industrial materials and equipment. Valid driver's license required

Pay:
$28.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
