This leadership role involves managing daily distribution activities, supervising team members, and ensuring the efficient handling of inventory and materials. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities during the third shift, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling. Lead and motivate warehouse staff, providing clear direction and managerial communication to ensure team efficiency. Oversee inventory management systems and ensure accurate tracking using RF scanners and warehouse management software. Operate and manage material handling equipment such as forklifts safely and efficiently in compliance with OSHA standards. Implement process improvements aligned with lean management principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including OSHA guidelines, while maintaining a safe working environment. Collaborate with logistics teams and 3PL providers to facilitate smooth distribution center operations. Manage shipping and receiving schedules, verify shipments against documentation, and resolve discrepancies promptly. Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accuracy within inventory control systems. Support training initiatives for team members on warehouse operations, equipment use, and safety procedures. Skills Extensive experience in warehouse distribution, logistics, or related fields with a focus on warehouse operations. Proven leadership skills in warehouse supervisor or team management roles. Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse management software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and communication purposes. Skilled in operating heavy lifting equipment such as forklifts and other materials handling tools. Familiarity with lean management techniques to streamline processes. Excellent communication skills for effective managerial interaction across teams. Deep understanding of shipping & receiving procedures within a distribution environment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail. Experience working with 3PL providers and managing distribution center workflows.
