Job Description
Warehouse Supervisor Position Overview We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, documentation, and team coordination. This role is responsible for ensuring that materials are shipped and received accurately and on time while maintaining a safe, efficient, and quality-focused work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse, shipping and receiving, logistics, inventory, or materials operations and must have hands-on experience using SAP or a comparable ERP system. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication. Key Responsibilities Warehouse, Shipping & Receiving Operations Oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure efficient workflow. Prepare and maintain daily status reports. Prepare Bills of Lading, customs documentation, and shipping labels using SAP. Set up and schedule shipments. Schedule export loading appointments. Record all shipping and receiving transactions accurately in the ERP system. Track shipments and coordinate with internal teams to resolve shipping, receiving, and documentation discrepancies. Ensure all shipping and receiving activities are completed accurately and on schedule. Maintain accurate and timely shipping and receiving records. Documentation & Recordkeeping File and maintain all shipping documentation in a timely and organized manner. Maintain accurate records of process orders. Ensure process order documentation is properly filed and maintained. Maintain and update shipping and receiving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Perform quality documentation audits and ensure required records are complete and accurate. Prepare and maintain documentation necessary to support warehouse and logistics operations. Inventory Management Maintain accurate consumable inventories. Oversee regular inventory checks and help ensure inventory accuracy. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. Ensure inventory transactions and records are accurately maintained in the appropriate ERP system. Support effective inventory control practices and material accountability. Safety Responsibilities Safety is the number one priority. Recognize and address safety problems, issues, and deficiencies as observed or directed. Follow all applicable safety procedures and requirements. Promote a safe working environment and ensure warehouse activities are performed safely. Support a culture of safety throughout all warehouse and shipping/receiving activities. Quality Responsibilities Quality is the second-highest priority after safety. Maintain a working knowledge of applicable quality procedures. Ensure warehouse, shipping, and receiving procedures are followed correctly. Perform quality documentation audits. Ensure records and documentation meet established quality requirements. Identify and communicate quality issues or documentation deficiencies. Required Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED required. SAP experience required. Approximately 2-5 years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, logistics, inventory, materials, or related experience preferred. Strong problem-solving skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office programs. Ability to read, comprehend, and follow operating directions and procedures. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Excellent attendance and reliability. Strong attention to detail. Physical & Schedule Requirements Ability to work an 8-hour day shift . Occasional overtime may be required. Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with warehouse and shipping/receiving operations. Must be able to work safely and effectively in a warehouse or industrial environment. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is an organized and dependable warehouse or logistics professional with hands-on SAP experience and a strong understanding of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse documentation. This individual should be comfortable coordinating shipments, maintaining accurate records, resolving discrepancies, supporting inventory checks, and working with internal teams. The successful candidate will be safety-focused, quality-minded, reliable, and able to work independently while effectively communicating with others.
