JOB TITLE
Warehouse Supervisor
SUPERVISED BY
Director of Branch Operations/Warehouse Superintendent
POSITION SUMMARY
To facilitate the warehouse function to ensure Benjamin Steel meets or exceed our customers' expectations in a safe and efficient manner consistent with company policy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Trains, supervises and develops staff to meet company and individual goals. Verifies all loads for accuracy, identification, appearance and safety. Inspects all incoming loads for accuracy and reports quantity and condition to purchasing. Dispatches trucks in the most efficient manner while meeting customers' needs. Accurately completes paperwork and documentation necessary to receive, ship and stock material. Coordinates material transfers with other Branches. Is a resource for communication, training, safety, human resources, mechanical issues, customer service, etc. for all staff. Performs other duties as related or assigned to benefit the Company. Coordinates work needed to be performed from shift to shift. Good attendance is an essential function of this job.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 5 years experience and warehousing, production, or leadership responsibilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent organizational, math, logistical and communication skills. Knowledge of warehousing, material processing and product applications. Proven ability to lead staff, maintain confidential information, successfully balance a variety of tasks, and represent the Company's best interest.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
