WCR is a manufacturer and service provider of heat exchanger solutions. The company specializes in the design, manufacturing, and service of plates and gaskets for all makes and models of plate heat exchangers (PHE). These PHEs offer our clients high reliability of heat transfer, low capital investment and installation costs, reducing maintenance, operating costs, wear, and corrosion.Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Coordinator I to join our logistics team. The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator I will be responsible for assisting in the shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of orders, and supporting the overall efficiency of the shipping department. This role is ideal for candidates who are organized, reliable, and eager to develop their skills in logistics and warehouse operations.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packing lists accurately and efficiently
- Pack and label shipments according to established procedures and customer requirements
- Coordinate with carriers and couriers for timely pick-up and delivery of shipments
- Quote shipments for sales, engineering, and other departments as needed
- Support the resolution of shipping-related issues, including tracking shipments and handling customer inquiries
- Receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents, and recording discrepancies as needed
- Count and label approved materials, and transport goods to respective departments
- Discern communication from limited shipping document information
- Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and company policies
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, including staging shipments for pick-up
- Learn and adhere to company policies and procedures related to shipping and receiving
- Forklift, pallet jack, and crane operations will be required
- Maintain certifications as needed
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Vocational training or Associate's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics coordination preferred
- Basic knowledge of shipping software and ERP systems; familiarity with SAP or Oracle is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipping documentation and inventory records
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members and external partners
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds and operate warehouse equipment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) regularly.
- Manual dexterity and ability to handle tools and machinery controls.
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and stooping may be required.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions typical of a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing/production floor environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machining fluids.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.

We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine your total compensation package. We rely on market indicators to determine compensation and consider your specific job, background, skills, and experience to get it right. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location.Work Status:
Full Time; work hours are Monday through Friday with flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.FLSA:
