We are looking for a strong leader who can keep the department organized, ensure customer orders are processed and shipped accurately and on time, and maintain high standards for quality, safety, and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have experience with both domestic and international shipping and be comfortable leading employees in a fast-paced environment.
Job ResponsibilitiesOversee the daily operations of the shipping departmentLead, coach, train, and provide direction to shipping personnelWork hands-on alongside the shipping team with packaging, order preparation, and shipping activitiesEnsure customer orders are accurately processed, documented, packaged, and shipped on scheduleCoordinate domestic and international shipmentsCoordinate shipments with parcel, freight, and LTL carriersPrepare and review shipping documentation for accuracyAssist with export documentation and international customs requirementsMonitor shipping schedules and prioritize orders based on customer commitmentsMaintain accurate shipping and logistics recordsWork closely with Sales, Production, Purchasing, Inventory, Quality, and Customer Service departmentsTroubleshoot shipping delays, documentation issues, and other logistics concernsMaintain an organized, clean, safe, and efficient shipping departmentIdentify opportunities to improve shipping processes and department efficiencyEnsure company shipping procedures and applicable transportation requirements are followedLead by example while maintaining accountability and strong teamwork within the departmentRequirementsPrevious shipping, logistics, or warehouse leadership experience requiredStrong supervisory, leadership, and team-building skillsThorough knowledge of domestic and international shipping proceduresExperience working with freight carriers, parcel carriers, and LTL shipmentsInternational logistics experienceWorking knowledge of export documentation and customs requirementsStrong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize multiple orders and projects in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work effectively with multiple departmentsComfortable being a hands-on supervisor and assisting the shipping team as neededDependable attendance and punctuality requiredImportant Note - Safety Sensitive RoleThis position is classified as Safety Sensitive under Oklahoma law (O.S. § 63-427.8).Individuals with a valid medical marijuana license may be disqualified from consideration.
