ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Drive between multiple sites on a flexible schedule Clean and disinfect all assigned work areas Monitor and report supply needs for assigned work areas, stocking supplies when Orders arrive at work sites. Inspect and report equipment issues to the direct Supervisor Inspects work when a supervisor is unable to do so Supports and relieves other janitorial staff Provide necessary site training to probationary employees Communication and reporting to the direct Supervisor and Manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 6

months to a year of experience as a janitor. Must have dependable transportation to the work site to maintain good attendance and punctuality. Must have a valid state-issued driver's license.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Must have a working knowledge of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual cleaning schedules. The ability to take direction from a supervisor.

SCOPE & ACCOUNTABILITY

Performs duties independently. Proper handling of customer requests and complaints with professional interaction.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

Ability to work with moderate supervision and some independent decision making. Ability to train and support janitorial staff.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Driving and use of personal transportation Flexible work schedule Standing, walking and bending for extended periods of time Using a variety of cleaning tools and equipment Able to lift up to 40-50 Punds occasionally We know that experience is gathered in many ways. The ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen. Valid driver's license and personal vehicle. Walk and stand for long periods of time. Perform work that includes lifting items up to 50 lbs., carrying, bending, and pulling. Speak and understand Basic English. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and independent decision-making. Janitorial Relay is one of the largest janitorial service providers in the greater Portland area.
