Job Description
2nd shift Warehouse Lead General Summary Supervises a variety of operations functions to ensure accuracy and on-time deliveries of receipts, storage, and shipments. Job functions generally include overseeing receiving materials and maintaining warehouse inventory, filling orders, and loading trailers. Can effectively operate a forklift and other industrial equipment when needed. Essential Job Functions Maintain regular communication with leadership to receive daily assignments and provide timely information regarding receiving and inventory, customer orders, facility maintenance, safety, and other factors critical to daily operations. Oversee receipt of material deliveries at facility according to established procedures. Unload material in various forms including pallets, boxes, bulk, and/or large items utilizing proper equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.) and manual lifting as appropriate. Count and verify accuracy of delivery by comparing to purchase orders and reviewing shipping documents. Inspect items for damage or defects. Oversee safe movement of merchandise throughout the warehouse utilizing proper equipment, including manual lifting. Assist facility team members in taking physical inventory according to established guidelines. Monitor entrances and exits to promote facility security and safety, Escalate potential security or safety concerns to facility leadership. Perform regular inspections of industrial equipment according to facility guidelines. Perform inspections based on pre-determined schedule for quality, safety, and any other inspection required Oversee daily housekeeping duties and general facility maintenance to keep warehouse, outside lot and break areas neat and safe. Keep aisles and walkways clear of debris. Work safely as to not cause harm to yourself, property, co-workers, equipment, or inventory. Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. Operate all equipment and vehicles according to Patton Warehousing policy and government regulations. Comply with OSHA regulations, work rules and policies. Perform all other job functions as assigned.
