Join the team that makes this happen! Our fleet is the backbone of our operation, and we're looking for a hands-on, highly organized Fleet Maintenance Coordinator who thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure situations. This is not a desk-only role—you'll be in the field, in the yard, and on the phone solving problems in real time. Position Overview This role is responsible for leading and executing all aspects of fleet maintenance and repair , from roadside breakdowns to long-term maintenance planning. You will be the go-to person when trucks are down, drivers need support, or urgent decisions must be made. Availability is critical —when trucks are rolling, support may be needed at any time, day or night. Key Responsibilities Hands on / Field Support Step into high-pressure situations , make decisions quickly, and keep operations moving Serve as the first line of support for roadside breakdowns , coordinating repairs and assisting drivers in real time Perform hands-on repairs on the yard or in the field while remaining available for drivers' needs Shuffle and stage trucks and trailers to facilitate repairs and support operations Conduct pre-purchase equipment inspections , evaluate condition/value and advise Prepare equipment for sale or disposal Organization / Operations Maintain accurate records in fleet maintenance software and ensure all data is up to date Build, document, and prioritize maintenance and repair lists across the fleet Track and schedule preventive maintenance and DOT inspections for all trucks and trailers Assist drivers and provide training on proper pre-trip inspections Manage relationships with repair shops, mobile vendors, and parts suppliers Monitor equipment performance and proactively identify issues before they become failures What We're Looking For Hands-on mindset - willing and able to turn a wrench when needed Strong organization and computer skills (fleet software, ELD, tracking, documentation) Ability to stay calm and take charge in urgent, high-pressure situations A genuine desire to help drivers and support the team Excellent communication skills and ability to manage vendors and internal teams Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability Preferred Experience Background in heavy-duty diesel repair or technician work (strongly preferred) CDL-A active and valid (strongly preferred) Experience with fleet maintenance operations and compliance Knowledge of truck and trailer systems (engines, air-brakes, electrical, tires etc.) Familiarity with DOT inspection requirements and preventive maintenance programs Why This Role Matters When a truck goes down, everything stops.
