Job Description
WESTAFF is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Lead in the East Providence, RI area for
IMMEDIATE
start!Pay:
$18-25/hr depending on experienceHours:
Mon-Friday, 7am-3pm.Responsibilities:
- Scheduling deliveries as needed
- Coordinate all LTL and TL shipments for both inbound and outbound shipments
- Oversee the shipping and receiving operations in a warehouse
- Ensure accurate and timely receipt of all incoming shipments
- Supervise a small team
- Implement and maintain efficient processes for receiving, inspecting, and storing goods
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate the flow of materials
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Conduct regular audits
Experience:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role in a warehouse or distribution center
- Proficient in using forklifts and other materials handling equipment
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
Skills:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience Shipping Lead
