This energetic leader will ensure that shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and safely while maintaining optimal inventory control and warehouse management practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong team management skills, a solid understanding of logistics and warehouse systems, and a proactive approach to process improvement. Duties Supervise daily shipping activities, including order picking, packing, labeling, and dispatching to ensure timely delivery. Manage inventory levels through regular stock checks, cycle counts, and utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400 to maintain accurate records. Coordinate with logistics providers and 3PL (third-party logistics) partners to optimize shipping routes and delivery schedules. Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse distribution efficiency, safety protocols, and materials handling procedures. Oversee forklift operation and other mechanical equipment use, ensuring adherence to OSHA safety standards and proper training for team members. Monitor shipping & receiving workflows, troubleshoot issues promptly, and implement solutions for continuous operational enhancements. Manage team performance by providing coaching, training on warehouse management systems, OSHA compliance, and best practices in heavy lifting and materials handling. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse management or supervision within a fast-paced distribution or e-commerce setting. Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse distribution processes, logistics, and materials handling techniques. Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems such as AS400 or similar platforms; familiarity with OSHAsafety standards is essential. Valid forklift certification with mechanical knowledge for safe operation of heavy equipment. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a safety-first environment. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks regularly while maintaining attention to detail. Prior experience working with 3PL providers, shipping & receiving operations, and implementing process improvements is highly desirable.
