Job Description

2 nd Shift (G6X) Assembly Team Lead
RESPONSIBILITIES
During Launch Phase, responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Assist with launch readiness: o Creating work instructions / standard work o Assist with Material Flow o Training of operators regarding new assembly equipment
  • Assist Plant Project Engineer with Launch related activities
  • Ensures plant safety procedures are known and followed
  • Ensures incidents/accidents are reported and documented before the conclusion of the shift
  • Maintains 6S standards and coordinate 6S responsibilities
  • Communicates personnel shortages to other Team Leaders/Supervisors for coverage.
  • Helps determine production priorities and balances colleagues to complete work.
  • Provides list of colleagues scheduled for overtime to Supervisor per Supervisor's instructions.
  • Facilitates relieving colleague for short periods of time when such needs arise.
  • Coordinates and/or assists in training of non-experienced colleagues.
  • Responsible for training documentation.
  • Responsible for providing associate feedback to supervisor for associate evaluations.
  • Coordinates completion of sorts and containment of non-conforming product.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork for shift activities (scrap, OEE, inventory, quality).
  • Runs machine as part of normal team rotation.
  • Checks and/or updates Production HMI and AOS Board.
  • Notifies assembly Supervisor/Manager if line is down more than 15 minutes.
  • Monitors team efficiency from OEE and downtime sheets.
  • Ensures Supervisor and/or appropriate personnel obtain daily OEE, downtime, and scrap sheets, "HOLD" tags, etc.
  • Monitors downtime and properly utilizes resources, (sort parts, assist press, housekeeping).
  • Contacts quality to help resolve quality issues.
  • Assist with quality inspections.
  • Perform weekly audits such as LPA audits and 5s Audits.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
  • Ensures plant safety procedures are known and followed
  • Ensures all equipment checklist are complete
  • Sets a Positive Example, ability to work with a Diverse Work Group
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communications
  • Assists other colleagues with a positive attitude, showing positive Leadership Skills
  • Perform additional responsibilities as directed: Candidates must be flexible, adaptable to change.
  • Must be willing and able to work Overtime as requested.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and work as a team in resolving issues.
