Job Description

The Shipping Supervisor oversees daily shipping operations, ensuring timely and accurate product delivery. Responsibilities include managing staff, optimizing processes, and maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
Supervision:
Manage and oversee the shipping team, including responsibilities such as training, scheduling, and performance assessment.
Shipping Operations:
Supervise the preparation and dispatch of shipments, guaranteeing accuracy and efficiency.
Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels diligently and collaborate with the warehouse personnel to ensure sufficient stock availability for shipment.
Compliance:
Ensure all shipping activities adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
Documentation:
Keep detailed records of shipments, including tracking info, invoices, and shipping documents.
Customer Service:
Resolve shipping issues and inquiries from customers and internal teams.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for improving shipping processes and apply best practices to enhance efficiency.
Reporting:
Produce shipping reports and analyze them to assess performance and identify improvement areas.
Collaboration:
Engage in close cooperation with various departments, including sales, customer service, and warehouse, to ensure smooth operational processes. What You'll Need to
Have:
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse management, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. Leadership, organization, communication, shipping software proficiency, Microsoft Office Suite expertise. Comprehensive understanding of shipping regulations, carrier specifications, and inventory management systems. Meticulous attention to detail, analytical problem-solving abilities, capacity to perform effectively under pressure, and dedication to ongoing improvement.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy materials. Standing and walking for extended periods. Working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
