Position Overview We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Assistant Warehouse Supervisor to support the daily operation of our Jackson warehouse. This person will work alongside the Warehouse Supervisor, help direct the warehouse team, and take charge of the operation whenever the supervisor is absent due to vacation, illness, or other time off. This is a working leadership position. The successful candidate must be comfortable performing warehouse duties while also keeping employees organized, productive, and focused on completing the day's priorities safely and accurately. Primary Responsibilities Assist the Warehouse Supervisor with daily operations and employee assignments Lead the warehouse team when the supervisor is unavailable Help plan and prioritize the day's workload Monitor productivity, attendance, quality, and safe work practices Receive, inspect, organize, and prepare freight Operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment Perform pallet restacking, wrapping, labeling, repacking, band removal, and related work Verify pallet, carton, and inventory counts Complete basic production reports and warehouse paperwork Communicate operational issues and progress to management Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Train and assist warehouse employees as needed Ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule Qualifications Previous warehouse experience required Forklift experience required Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred Dependable, punctual, and willing to take responsibility Strong communication and organizational skills Able to give clear instructions and work effectively with a team Comfortable using email and completing basic reports Able to lift, move, and handle warehouse materials throughout the workday Must be able to work independently and make sound decisions when the supervisor is absent What We're Looking For We need someone who leads by example, works well with others, and can be trusted to keep the operation moving. Pay Range depending on warehouse, forklift, and leadership experience.
