We only consider applicants who submit a cover letter as well as a resume. Overview Loloi Rugs is seeking an experienced full-time Warehouse Supervisor for immediate hire. The primary responsibilities include guiding and protecting company assests (people, equipment, inventory) through daily oversight of the distribution picking and stocking activities. The position manages approximately 10-20 warehouse staff members, is is responsible for performance management and staffing within that department. The job operates in both an office and warehouse environment, involving the use of both standard office equipment and computer software as well as warehouse equipment. The warehouse itself is not climate controlled and shares the temperature of the seasons. The hours are Monday-Friday, 6am-4:30pm, with some overtime as needed. Role Guide and protect inventory, equipment, and staff through distribution picking and stocking. Managing of 10-20 warehouse staff members. Staffing for your department. Responsible for team dedicated to all inventory movements from dock to stock to dock. Pull all product necessary to satisfy open orders by their required date and delivery to the appopriate date. Coordinate with receiving department to make sure received product is stocked to the appopriate warehouse locations daily. Walk work areas daily to ensure aisles are properly maintained, clean, and product is properly protected from damage by lifts. Inspect equipment used by employees for condition, cleanliness, and function. Notify appropriate manager with any repairs necessary to continue proper use. Review associate time each week, address attendance issues, and clearly communicate schedule changes. Review performance expectations with each employee: Picking, Stocking, Aisle Condition, and Inventory Accuracy. Coach employees on proper techniques to insure daily production goals are met and processes are done correctly. Monitor staff levels to make sure all employees are productive and clearly communicate expectations. Proactively evaluate work loads to insure work area is properly staffed. Work with HR, other managers, and staff to fill any needs. Participate in the interview process for new hires. Maintain positive and encouraging working relations with all employees Effectively communicate basic verbal and written instruction Train and follow prescribed safety regulations. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment. Must have excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Spanish is a huge plus. Experience in home decor warehousing preferred. Strong organizational and time management skills. Willingness to train others to be successful. Work in an ethical manner at all times. Have situational awareness and understand the needs of the business. Be a good steward of the resources provided. Basic understanding of forklift operation and safety.
