POSITION SUMMARY

The Distribution Center Supervisor will oversee daily operations within a specified area of a regional distribution center, ensuring that all processes are running smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role will involve supervising a team of associates, coordinating workflow, and addressing any operational issues that arise.

CORE FUNCTIONS

o Supervise, train, and motivate shift employees. o Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback. o Foster a positive and productive work environment. o Oversee the daily workflow and manage shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing. o Monitor and improve operational processes to meet performance metrics and deadlines. o Coordinate with other supervisors and departments to ensure seamless operations. o Ensure all orders are processed accurately and efficiently. o Ensure all products are handled and stored correctly to prevent damage. o Address and resolve any issues or escalate to shift management. o Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. o Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions. o Handle incident reports as needed. o Act as the main point of contact for team-related issues and concerns. o Communicate effectively with team members, management, and other departments. o Prepare and present team reports and performance data to management. o Identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements. o Stay updated with industry trends and best practices. o Lead or participate in special projects and initiatives aimed at improving distribution center operations.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent experience in logistics, business, or related field required.
  • 3+ years of experience in operations or logistics required.
  • 1+ years of experience at a leadership level with similar responsibilities preferred. Required Licenses
  • Ability to become licensed in operating powered warehouse equipment such as reach forklift trucks and order pickers. Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
  • Strong team management abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and ERP/WMS software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to respond to customer or carrier requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ability to adapt to changes while maintaining productivity measures. Travel
  • Minimal travel may be required.
