Full Job Description Overview:
The Warehouse Supervisor will lead a shift of warehouse staff for the new Chick-fil-A Supply Distribution Center (DC) in Lubbock, Tx . This individual, in collaboration with other leaders, will be responsible for executing safe and effective operations that meet the needs of the organization and its employees. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this person will lead a team dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service for Chick-fil-A restaurant Operators while ensuring safety and achievement of several critical key performance indicators (KPIs). The Warehouse Supervisor will help drive the operations of the distribution center and will enable supply chain innovation unique to the food service industry. Most importantly, this person will lead in a way that supports Chick fil-A's vision and strategy while embodying the corporate purpose. Responsibilities:
Motivate, staff, schedule and support a dynamic team responsible for all inbound, outbound, inventory control and completing other warehouse tasks by creating workflow and eliminating waste in the operation Oversees daytime transportation operation performance to include audits and observations of routes, when required Serves as point of contact in the absence of senior leaders in the building Leads operational improvement and change management projects for the building, when required Drives Safety, Quality and Compliance activities daily as the primary business partner to the SQC site leader Supports OPEX performance initiatives in partnership with Senior DC Leaders, COBE and other support groups. Actively supports and leads all process adherence activities, SOPA and compliance audits in the DC Supports other distribution center s by traveling to other sites to support operational needs, when required Closely collaborate with leaders and team members to identify, analyze and resolve operational bottlenecks Monitor expenditure data and support budget management Recruit, train, and develop a strong team Mentor Supervisor I and Lead Warehouse Team Members Collaborate with cross-functional teams regarding overall operations performance, identify and driving areas of improvement Collaborate with the warehouse ops manager regarding staff performance; identify and drive areas of improvement; and recognize team members' outstanding performance Act as a liaison to Restaurant Services, balancing needs of the Operator with the capabilities of the operation Implement, manage, and improve distribution center operations Deliver high service levels to Operators and achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Work closely with the DC Leadership Team, CFA Supply Services, and various business partners to ensure optimal alignment and collaboration Support the Chick-fil-A vision and strategy by building a culture that aligns with the Chick-fil-A Supply values of care, safety and excellence Embody and live out our Corporate Purpose through our words and actions Complete other activities as required Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities): High school degree or similar 5+ years of leadership experience in distribution, manufacturing, transportation, or another relevant supply chain field. Demonstrated experience with and functional knowledge of food service distribution, including warehousing, operations (including Six Sigma and Lean), engineering standards, warehouse equipment, and performance metrics Working knowledge of innovations in supply chain and warehouse operations Knowledge of and ability to ensure compliance with general safety standards, quality specifications, and governmental requirements Ability to complete physically demanding work, including consistently lifting up to 60 pounds Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts Demonstrated ability to value both relationships and results and to put others above themselves Strong aptitude to think critically, solve problems, and drive improvements in a professional and respectful manner Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and communication skills Strong ability to negotiate and resolve conflict by navigating confrontational situation s to ensure all parties are treated with honor, dignity, and respect Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking): to safely follow verbal instructions, complete documentation and paperwork, and accurately interpret labels, pick lists, scanner prompts, signage, and company communications. Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities): 7+ years of e xperience in warehouse operations, supporting in a food distribution or food manufacturing environment Experience in a start-up environment
