7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, working 11 days on / 3 days off (with every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off) About the Role We're looking for a hands-on Shipping Coordinator to keep a busy operation running smoothly and on schedule. This contract role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accurate, on-time shipments. You'll manage day-to-day shipping and receiving activities, ensuring freight moves safely, accurately, and on time — directly impacting on-time delivery performance and customer satisfaction. What You'll Do Coordinate daily outbound and inbound shipments, including scheduling carriers and arranging pick-ups and deliveries Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels Monitor and track shipments from dispatch to delivery, proactively resolving delays or issues with carriers Oversee receiving activities — unloading, verifying, and recording incoming materials and products Maintain accurate inventory records through timely data entry, cycle counts, and discrepancy reconciliation Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to load, unload, and stage products safely Communicate shipment status and exceptions to internal teams, vendors, and carriers Support continuous improvement initiatives to boost accuracy, safety, and throughput What You'll Need Proven experience in shipping coordination, logistics, or warehouse operations Strong background in freight scheduling, logistics coordination, and shipment tracking Demonstrated experience with inventory management in a warehouse or distribution setting Skilled in preparing and managing shipping/receiving documentation Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment Solid computer skills, including WMS/inventory systems and basic office software Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail Clear, effective communication with carriers, vendors, and internal teams Nice to Have Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or oilfield environments Familiarity with transportation regulations and carrier compliance Knowledge of lean or continuous improvement practices Experience with barcode scanning or RF-based inventory tools Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required Forklift certification, or ability to obtain certification before or shortly after starting Additional logistics, supply chain, or warehouse training is a plus
