Job Description
Job Summary:
Oversees all daily receiving activities according to planned order-picking schedule.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Receiving Signs all bills of lading, verifies shipper signature, and retains for total container count. Responsible for entering all receipts into the AS400 inventory system. Assembles purchase order receiving labels and affixes labels to received products prior to distribution. Builds all pallets of received goods per guidelines for warehouse storage. Responsible for all paperwork related to purchase orders. Responsible for verifying the accuracy of quantity received against quantity ordered of goods both here and in El Salvador. Reports any discrepancies to the Senior Warehouse and Distribution Manager. Works with accounts payable as needed to reconcile any discrepancies in purchase orders.
• Inventory & Production Prepares daily pick schedule for orders. Designates labels needed for picking, verifies labels are accurate, and distributes labels according to picking schedule. Oversees the picking process in core and pillow area. Responsible for accuracty of inventory.
• Manaing Direct Reports Supervise and direct all union shipping/warehouse personnel. Responsible for ensuring accurate time records for all union and temporary workers. Responsible for entering all absences into the Travel/Absence system. Responsible for notifying Senior, Warehousing and Distribution Manager of any attendance or discipline problems. Will assist in disciplinary process for employees.
Essential Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent 3+ years supervisor experience 5+ years warehouse experience preferably with consumer products in receiving.
Physical Demands:
Ability to sit, stand, walk, or lift at least 8 hours a day Ability to lift objects Frequent use of upper extremities to perform keyboard functions
