Available Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Packaging Supervisor / Manager to lead day-to-day pharmaceutical packaging operations at our Chantilly, VA facility. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) bottle packaging lines , supervising packaging teams, planning production, and maintaining strict cGMP and FDA compliance. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for production planning, team management, packaging quality, documentation, equipment utilization, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Lead daily pharmaceutical packaging operations , ensuring production, quality, and delivery targets are achieved. Manage bottle packaging lines for Oral Solid Dosage products , including tablets and capsules. Plan and schedule packaging activities based on market requirements, manpower, materials, and equipment capacity . Supervise, motivate, train, and develop Packaging Operators and Line Leads . Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, OSHA, SOPs, and company safety requirements . Manage packaging-related deviations, investigations, CAPAs, change controls, and corrective actions . Review and approve packaging records, protocols, reports, and other GMP documentation as required. Support packaging validation, equipment qualification, cleaning verification/validation, and new product activities . Monitor packaging line performance, productivity, downtime, and resource utilization. Work closely with Quality, Warehouse, Supply Chain, Engineering, HR, and other departments to resolve operational issues. Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and GMP-compliant packaging area . Support regulatory inspections and maintain ongoing audit readiness . Participate in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning for packaging personnel. Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement, efficiency, quality, and cost reduction . Prepare operational updates and communicate production progress, issues, corrective actions, and project status to management. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Science, Engineering, or a related field . 8+ years of pharmaceutical packaging/manufacturing experience , with strong supervisory or management experience. Must have 5-8+ years of experience supervising bottle packaging lines . Must have Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) bottle packaging experience within a pharmaceutical or nutraceutical manufacturing environment. Strong experience managing Packaging Operators, Line Leads, and production teams . Experience with production planning and scheduling . Experience with packaging validation and qualification. Experience supporting FDA or other regulatory inspections. Experience in a high-volume pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
