This is a hands-on position combining warehouse organization, inventory management, order fulfillment, delivery coordination, local deliveries, and inventory administration . You will be the primary person responsible for keeping the warehouse organized, orders accurate, inventory properly maintained, and delivery operations running smoothly. This is more than an order-picking position. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can operate independently, and wants to grow into an important long-term operations role within our company.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse & Inventory Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized warehouse. Organize products and assign appropriate warehouse locations. Conduct regular physical inventory counts. Maintain accurate inventory and investigate discrepancies. Receive and properly store incoming products. Maintain accurate product information, including UPCs, vintages, and warehouse locations. Identify inventory shortages, damages, and other discrepancies and ensure they are properly addressed. Order Fulfillment & Delivery Coordination Accurately pick and stage customer orders using invoices. Organize orders according to delivery routes and driver schedules. Verify orders for accuracy before loading. Load delivery vehicles safely and efficiently. Coordinate with drivers to ensure orders are ready for scheduled deliveries. Help organize daily warehouse and delivery activities. Process returned, refused, or damaged products and ensure inventory records are updated. Local Deliveries Make local customer deliveries as needed using company vehicles. Verify orders before departure and ensure accurate delivery to customers. Safely load, transport, and unload wine and spirits. Obtain required delivery documentation and communicate any delivery issues to the office. Maintain professional and courteous communication with customers. Help ensure company delivery vehicles and equipment are kept clean and properly cared for. QuickBooks & Inventory Administration Learn and use QuickBooks Enterprise for warehouse and inventory functions. Make approved inventory adjustments. Assist with creating and correcting invoices. Assign and update product warehouse locations. Update UPCs, wine vintages, and other product information. Research and help resolve inventory discrepancies. QuickBooks experience is helpful but not required. Training will be provided. Equipment & Warehouse Maintenance Safely operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, walk-behind lifts, and other warehouse equipment. Perform routine equipment checks. Ensure warehouse and delivery equipment is properly used and cared for. dentify maintenance or safety issues and report or coordinate repairs when necessary. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of warehouse, inventory, distribution, or logistics experience . Warehouse lead or supervisory experience is preferred but not required. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Comfortable making local customer deliveries when needed. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities. Comfortable working with computers and learning inventory software. QuickBooks or inventory-management software experience is a plus. Forklift, electric pallet jack, or similar warehouse equipment experience preferred. Ability to regularly lift and move cases weighing up to 50 lbs. Strong communication and customer-service skills. Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance. Ability to work effectively with drivers, sales staff, office personnel, and customers. Must comply with company safety and drug-free workplace policies. Schedule Monday-Friday 11:00 AM•7:30 PM Approximately 35-40 hours per week No regular weekend shifts. Compensation & Benefits $22.00•27.00 per hour , depending on experience.
