Position The Second Shift Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the activities of the second shift operation, to include Fabrication, Kitting, Weld, Wash, Paint, Maintenance, Warehouse and Assembly, with the direction of the First Shift Management, Director of Manufacturing and Director of Upfit.
Shift:
2nd Shift Responsibilities Allocates resources, provides feedback, and ensures organized production Assign tasks, assist, and train other personnel to support future growth. Determine work procedures, prepares work schedules and expedites workflow. Issues written and oral instructions Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures. Troubleshoot issues that arise on the shop floor and confers with supervisors, leads, and production personnel to resolve problems, keeping projects moving for the best outcome. Communicates across multiple departments. Demonstrates leadership behaviors that support our Company Values. Perform inspections as required by company and customer standards. Create a continuous improvement mindset. Qualification Monitoring/accessing performance of yourself and others individuals to make improvements or take corrective actions. Knowledge of wire and filler material applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materials Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.) Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability to understand and operate all safety equipment in the area. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Ability to use linear and other measuring devices.
