Job Description

2nd Shift Packing / Shipping Lead Responsible for leading second-shift packing and shipping activities to ensure customer orders are packaged correctly, labeled accurately, and ready for shipment on time. Provides hands-on direction to the team while coordinating priorities with Production and Shipping. Key Responsibilities Lead and prioritize daily work for second-shift packing and shipping personnel. Ensure finished parts are packaged, labeled, counted, and documented according to customer and client requirements. Verify orders, quantities, part numbers, and shipping documentation before shipment. Coordinate with Production to identify priorities, shortages, and orders requiring immediate attention. Perform packing, material handling, staging, and shipping duties alongside the team as needed. Use Plex and related shipping documentation to accurately complete transactions and maintain inventory accuracy. Identify and communicate quality, packaging, inventory, or scheduling issues. Train employees on proper packing, shipping, material handling, and safety procedures. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe shipping and staging area. Provide clear communication and turnover to first-shift Shipping/Production regarding completed work and outstanding priorities. Qualifications Previous manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, or material-handling experience preferred. Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read work orders, part numbers, quantities, and shipping documentation accurately. Forklift/material-handling experience preferred. Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and taking ownership of second-shift shipping priorities.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
