Shipping / Packing Lead - 2nd Shift Are you an experienced manufacturing or shipping professional ready to take the lead? SEEK Careers/Staffing is recruiting for a 2nd Shift Packing / Shipping Lead to help oversee daily packing and shipping activities while working hands-on alongside the team. As a 2nd Shift Packing / Shipping Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring customer orders are packaged correctly, labeled accurately, and ready to ship on time. You'll provide direction to the second-shift team while coordinating priorities with Production and Shipping.

Responsibilities:

Lead and prioritize daily work for second-shift packing and shipping personnel. Ensure finished parts are properly packaged, labeled, counted, and documented according to customer and company requirements. Verify orders, quantities, part numbers, and shipping documentation for accuracy. Coordinate with Production regarding priorities, shortages, and orders requiring immediate attention. Perform packing, material handling, staging, and shipping duties alongside the team as needed. Utilize Plex and related shipping documentation to complete transactions accurately and maintain inventory accuracy. Identify and communicate quality, packaging, inventory, and scheduling issues. Train employees on proper packing, shipping, material handling, and safety procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and staging area. Provide clear communication and shift turnover to first-shift Shipping/Production regarding completed work and outstanding priorities.

Qualifications:

Previous manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, or material-handling experience preferred. Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred. Ability to accurately read and understand work orders, part numbers, quantities, and shipping documentation. Forklift/material-handling experience preferred. Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Dependable, organized, and able to take ownership of second-shift shipping priorities. Comfortable providing direction while remaining hands-on with the team.
