Overview The Industrial Supply Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of the company, including inventory management, purchasing, order processing, shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, customer support, and showroom management. As a key member of a small team, this individual will play a critical role in ensuring products are sourced, received, stocked, processed, and delivered efficiently while providing exceptional support to customers and sales representatives. This hands-on position requires a self-motivated professional who is equally comfortable managing office processes and working in the warehouse. The successful candidate will take ownership of inventory accuracy, vendor coordination, order fulfillment, showroom management and operational efficiency while supporting the overall growth and success of the business.

Key Responsibilities Operations, Purchasing & Inventory Management Manage inventory levels and maintain accurate inventory records. Coordinate purchasing activities and place orders with suppliers to ensure product availability. Work with sales representatives to source products, obtain pricing, and identify the best solutions for customer requirements. Maintain relationships with suppliers and coordinate delivery schedules. Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and minimize excess inventory. Conduct inventory counts and investigates inventory discrepancies. Identify opportunities to improve inventory control, purchasing processes, and operational efficiency. Order Processing & Customer Support Process customer orders accurately and efficiently from receipt through fulfillment. Create and manage purchase orders, sales orders, invoices, and related documentation. Monitor order status and communicate updates to customers and sales representatives. Coordinate product availability and delivery schedules to meet customer requirements. Answer customer inquiries regarding products, availability, pricing, and order status. Support sales representatives by providing product, inventory, and supplier information. Warehouse Operations & Logistics Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against purchase orders and packing slips. Operate forklift to unload, move, store, and organize inventory. Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient warehouse environment. Accurately store incoming inventory and maintain warehouse organization. Prepare customer orders for shipment or local delivery. Coordinate outbound shipments with freight carriers and parcel delivery services. Prepare shipping documentation and ensure accurate order fulfillment. Assist with loading and unloading products as required. Maintain safe warehouse operating practices and procedures. Showroom & General Operations Assist walk-in customers and maintain a professional showroom environment. Ensure showroom inventory and displays are organized and presentable. Support daily business operations and administrative activities as needed. Work independently with minimal supervision while supporting all aspects of company operations. Perform other duties as necessary to support the needs of the business.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 10+ years of experience in inventory management, purchasing, warehouse operations, logistics, distribution, or related business operations. Experience working in a small business environment with broad operational responsibilities preferred. Strong understanding of inventory control, purchasing, shipping and receiving, and order fulfillment processes. Demonstrated history of reliable attendance and dependability in previous positions. Forklift experience required; certification preferred or ability to obtain certification. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Ability to maintain a consistent full-time work schedule and perform essential job duties on-site Excellent communication and customer service skills. Proficiency with standard business software and computer applications. Experience with QuickBooks or similar business software preferred but not required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds. Experience operating warehouse equipment, including a forklift. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday. Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
