Warehouse Technician - 1st
Shift Location:
Moody, AL Starting Pay:
$16.50 an hour Position Summary The Warehouse Technician is responsible for accurately and efficiently receiving, maintaining, handling, repackaging, and shipping materials within the warehouse according to written work instructions. This role supports production goals while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and accuracy. Key Responsibilities Receive, handle, repackage, and ship materials accurately Follow detailed written and verbal work instructions Maintain accurate and legible production records Meet or exceed production rates while maintaining quality standards Inspect materials and finished products for quality Troubleshoot and perform rework as needed Identify and tag nonconforming materials Organize and stock materials during and after each shift Clean production areas during and following each shift Report potential safety or quality risks immediately Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-driven environment Train and rotate across multiple processes and work cells Adhere to Bluegrass Core Values at all times
Requirements:
Skills & Abilities Professional written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity Ability to validate quality of own work Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused Adaptable and willing to work overtime as needed Physical Requirements Ability to stand for up to 10 hours Frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling Lift/carry up to 50 lbs regularly; up to 100 lbs occasionally Work in varying temperatures (climate-controlled to warehouse conditions) Exposure to noise, vibration, chemicals, electrical hazards, and sharp tools Continuous use of hands/arms with strong eye-hand coordination Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required Prior quality or inspection experience preferred Experience in a fast-paced warehouse or production environment preferred BSC1
