2nd shift Material Handler
Job Description
Primary Objective of Position:
The Material Handler I will supply lines with raw materials and move unfinished good through the manufacturing process utilizing a forklift.Primary Job Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to safety policies and procedures to include proper use of required PPE. 2. Operate a stand up and LP forklift safely. 3. Supply raw materials where needed in the production process. 4. Maintain kit carts where applicable. 5. Facilitate movement of product through the production process. 6. Adhere to receiving procedures. 7. Demonstrate knowledge of parts and home locations. 8. Manage and consolidate inventory in stockroom and other areas as directed. 9. Participate in physical inventory activities. 10. Utilize lift assistance to handle products weighing more than 50 pounds. 11. Meet established efficiency and productivity standards. 12. Maintain 6S and Lean Manufacturing standards. 13. Additional or updated duties as business demands change.Qualifications:
1. Ability to complete requirements for Forklift Certification. 2. Good verbal and written communication skills. 3. Strong time management skills. 4. Good organizational skills. 5. Work well with a variety of people.Experience:
Prior Forklift operation experience preferred.Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.Physical Demands:
1. Working at a fast pace 2. Sitting, standing, or walking for long periods of time. 3. Manually handling up to 50 pounds often by lift/push/pull. 4. Working with the various distractions of a manufacturing environment. 5. Bending, stooping, reaching occasionally. Rate is $15/hr. w/$2 shift diff. This is a 2nd shift job. 1st shift training- 6A-2:30P 2nd shift: 3P-11:30P Training is on 1st shift.
