Job Summary Marble & Granite Distributor seeking Individual with a minimum Class B Drivers License to fill an opening for a Regional Delivery Driver and Warehouse worker. Individual would be responsible for the following: Delivery Responsibilities 1. Make deliveries as scheduled to outlying area as directed. 2. Load truck as soon as you have the order and leave immediately after loading. 3. Call customers at least 1 hour prior to delivery of material regardless of distance, to make sure they will be available to unload. 4. Operate company vehicle in a safe, efficient and courteous manner. 5. Maintain professional vehicle appearance inside and outside. 6. Maintain professional personal appearance and attitude with customers. 7. Maintain and inspect vehicle as required by D.O.T. regulations. 8. Maintain current driver license and physical exams as required by D.O.T. regulations. 9. Inspect all material when loading for cracks, scratches, fissures, spots, or core holes. 10. Examine safety of load and hardware condition prior to trip departure. 11. Complete and return all required VMC delivery paperwork. 12. Collect all required funds as noted on bill of lading. 13. Re-examine material at time of delivery and note any problems on bill of lading. 14. Complete weekly expense reports and time sheets as required. 15. Coordinate times to perform periodic maintenance as required by vehicle maintenance schedule. Additional Responsibilities 1. When not making deliveries, assist with loading and unloading of trucks as needed. 2. Assist with any other warehouse task as directed by warehouse manager. Work Hours 1. Will be expected to at assigned station and prepared to fulfill assigned duties by 8:00am each morning. 2. Will work in accordance with VMC hours of operations (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm) unless otherwise requested. 3. Work extended hours as needed, within D.O.T. regulations, to maintain timely deliveries and maintain schedules. Individual must be a dependable, willing and self motivated worker. Must be able to work outside on a full time basis. Clean driving record a must.
