The Material Handler I is responsible for the movement of various materials and products through a variety of means, including manual sorting and placement. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and accurate flow of products through the facility. 16.00 to 17.00 an hour 90 day

What You'll Be Doing:

Reporting to the Supervisor, the Material Handler is responsible for the movement of various materials and products.

Your responsibilities will include:

Ensuring safe movement of products or merchandise. Reviewing products or merchandise to ensure proper placement. All other duties as assigned to support and improve the overall team operations. Adjusting to new reporting relationships, work assignments, and work schedules to meet company needs and business requirements. Consistent and reliable attendance at work is an essential function of this job.

Physical Requirements:

This is a physically demanding role that requires constant standing, walking, bending, and stooping. You must be able to lift and move materials, which may be heavy, repeatedly throughout the workday. Requires good manual dexterity and physical stamina for tasks such as minor repairs and manual drying. Ability to hear and understand verbal instructions and safety alarms in a warehouse environment.

Other Physical Requirements Vision:

Requires adequate near vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception to safely perform job duties, identify pallet defects, operate tools, read labels, and recognize workplace hazards.

Sense of Sound:

Ability to hear horns, alarms, machinery, and verbal instructions in a potentially noisy warehouse environment.

Sense of Touch:

Ability to use hands and fingers effectively to handle tools, fasteners, materials, and equipment with precision and control. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Ability to consistently wear required PPE, including steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and gloves, throughout the workday.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work in a warehouse environment. This may include exposure to dust, fluctuating temperatures (hot and cold), and moderate to high noise levels. Steel-toed boots and other personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required.
