ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Verifies incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials Record types and quantities of materials or items received and distributed Marks materials with identifying information Keeps warehouse inventory records current Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence Reads work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials and stock items Weighs or counts items for distribution to ensure conformance to District standards Opens bales, crates, boxes, and other containers Assist in maintenance of property control records Oversee annual fixed assets physical inventories Prepare and distribute warehouse catalogs Monitor warehouse stock prices for accuracy and make adjustments as needed Work with other employees on delivery functions May drive vehicle to transport items from warehouse to schools or other departments Perform duties relating to other job functions as assigned. What You Need Must have or be able to obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card, through the Arizona Department of Public Safety High School Diploma or GED Must possess a valid Arizona Driver's License Minimum 3 years of work experience consistent with warehouse duties and responsibilities Knowledge of warehousing techniques, including inventory of stock Must be a self-starter, work alone when necessary, and self-coordinate workload, using established priorities Must establish and maintain effective relationships with supervisor and other District employees Must have a basic knowledge of computer usage, keyboarding and applications Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
