Yard Worker Burbank, CA Full time - Temp to hire Monday through Friday - 6:30am to 3pm $18.50hr to start A leading U.S. supplier of building materials, manufactured components, and value-added services for new residential construction, repair, and remodeling projects is seeking a Yard Worker to join their team in Burbank.

Summary:

The Yard Worker will be responsible for handling lumber and building materials, keeping the yard clean and organized, and assisting with mill operations. This is a physically demanding, hands-on position that requires the ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.

Responsibilities:

Stack and organize lumber and building materials safely and efficiently. Bundle and prepare lumber for shipment or production. Feed lumber through mill machinery as directed. Assist with loading, unloading, moving, and handling materials. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Perform other general yard and material-handling duties as assigned. Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

Previous yard, lumber, warehouse, construction, or manufacturing experience is a plus. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and stacking materials throughout the shift. Ability to safely handle lumber and other building materials. Comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, wind, and other weather conditions. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures. Must have steel-toed boots. Must be safety-conscious and able to work effectively with others.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move lumber and materials repeatedly throughout the workday. Ability to stand and work for extended periods. Ability to work outdoors and in the elements. Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks safely.
