$24 Job Summary We are seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Forklift Driver to join our warehouse and operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load, unload, move, stack, and organize materials and products safely and efficiently. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow safety procedures, and a commitment to maintaining an organized and productive work environment. Key Responsibilities Operate forklifts safely to move, load, unload, and stack materials, pallets, and products. Load and unload trucks, trailers, and shipping containers. Transport materials to designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping departments. Inspect forklifts and equipment before each shift and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns. Verify product quantities, labels, and shipment documentation for accuracy. Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with warehouse organization. Follow all company safety policies, operating procedures, and material-handling guidelines. Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards. Assist with picking, packing, staging, and preparing orders for shipment as needed. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other departments. Report damaged products, inventory discrepancies, and equipment malfunctions promptly. Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by management. Qualifications and Requirements Previous forklift operating experience (Stand up) Current forklift operator certification Knowledge of warehouse operations, material handling, and workplace safety practices. Ability to read labels, follow written and verbal instructions, and complete basic documentation. Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a positive work attitude. Ability to lift and move materials as required by the position. Willingness to work flexible shifts, overtime, or weekends when needed. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and operate a forklift for extended periods. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday. Ability to lift, carry, or handle materials according to the job's physical demands. Ability to work in a warehouse or industrial environment, including varying temperatures and noise levels where applicable. Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and moving vehicles. Safety Responsibilities Follow all forklift operating procedures and workplace safety regulations. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections. Operate equipment within rated load capacities and designated travel areas. Maintain safe speeds, clear visibility, and appropriate pedestrian awareness. Immediately report accidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and equipment defects. Never operate equipment without the required authorization and training.
