Position Summary The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations through receiving, staging, loading, unloading, and organizing materials. This role plays an important part in ensuring installation crews, customers, and internal teams receive the correct materials accurately, safely, and on time.
Compensation:
$21.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Load installation orders and materials onto company trucks accurately and safely Verify materials, quantities, styles, colors, and related documentation before delivery or pickup Prepare work orders and obtain required installer and customer signatures Process customer Cash & Carry pickups and ensure paperwork is completed and scanned into company systems Receive and unload incoming deliveries; inspect materials for accuracy, quality, and condition Utilize the QFloors system to scan work orders, print tags, and maintain records Coordinate and process vendor returns while maintaining proper documentation Prepare transfer shipments by tagging, wrapping, and securing materials for safe transportation Scan and distribute completed records to appropriate departments Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and company vehicles, in accordance with safety procedures Perform basic preventative maintenance and safety checks on equipment as needed Follow company safety standards and properly shut down or secure equipment when not in use Support warehouse operations and assist with additional duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred 2+ years of warehouse, material handling, logistics, or related experience preferred Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification) Basic computer proficiency required; experience with inventory or warehouse software preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment Reliable transportation required Ability to multitask, stay organized, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Physical Requirements & Work Environment This position requires working in a warehouse environment and performing physical tasks throughout the day, including: Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, pushing, and pulling Frequent use of hands and manual dexterity Ability to safely lift, carry, push and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and work around moving materials and machinery Equal Opportunity Employer The Floor Store is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
