Summary:

Bay Area News Group is looking for a part-time warehouse worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the inserting process for our publications is completed on a daily basis.

Note:

This position will work the afternoon shift, Friday 3:30PM

• 10:30PM, Saturday 3:30PM
• 10:30PM, and Sunday 4:15PM
• 10:00PM.

What you will do:

Hand-insert free-standing inserts into the inserting machine Use the shrink-wrap machine to wrap pallets Operate pallet jacks or forklifts to move materials between the mailroom and the warehouse Handle a "jogging" table to align all inserts perfectly prior to loading an inserting pocket Work on the binder machine to load signatures Load mail pieces into the mail machine and gather addressed pieces off the conveyor Responsible for the daily cleanup of the mailroom Certain positions are responsible for shipping/receiving materials Some positions use computer software to manage shipping materials What you will bring: Must be a team player with the ability to follow supervisor directions Good communication skills A positive, energetic personality High School diploma or equivalent preferred Previous warehouse, material handling, or forklift experience preferred; computer proficiency is a plus but not necessary

Benefits and Compensation:

The hourly wage is $16.90 . Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to geographic location, education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, the Company offers eligible employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, 401k, as well as paid time off and select paid holidays (all benefits are based on eligibility).
