POSITION SUMMARY

The General Labor or Facility Floater is responsible for assisting operations in areas that need assistance, additional support, upkeep, and coverage. This role can operate and monitor electronic sorting, air separation, sizing equipment or shelling to maintain a consistent workflow, scheduled to reduce downtime, and optimize production efficiency. This position will assist areas such as sanitation duties and assist operators with end of shift clean up. Position may be utilized during harvest and its applicable duties. By upholding strict quality control practices, following safety protocols, and collaborating closely with production team members. The General Labor position supports Nutrinut Company's commitment to delivering a premium product with accuracy, consistency, and care.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Flexibility to take on varied duties and assignments based on business needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall production and operational requirements to ensure the success and continued growth of Nutrinut.
• Perform pre-operation checks prior to the start of packing production to verify equipment readiness, safety compliance, and proper line setup.
• Set up processing lines in accordance with established planned instructions, ensuring all equipment, materials, and products are properly prepared.
• Promptly notify their direct Supervisor of any equipment malfunctions or concerns to ensure timely repairs and minimize downtime.
• Organize and manage break and lunch rotations in accordance with California labor laws and company policies to maintain compliance and productivity.
• Communicate regularly with their supervisor and or Manager to confirm production schedules, start times, and any adjustments required during operations.
• Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth transitions during product style changes and lot adjustments, minimizing delays and errors.
• Assist and lead sanitation duties of facility and equipment.
• Communicate with the Packaging Department Lead to confirm what is available to meet production needs.
• Maintain constant communication with the Supervisor on duties and responsibilities assigned.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred; ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams.
• Familiarity with workplace safety principles and best practices in warehouse or production environments.
• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, high-volume setting and remain effective under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain quality standards.
• Clear and effective verbal communication skills for interacting with supervisors, team members, and cross-department staff.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma and or its equivalence.
• 2-plus years of operational experience in manufacturing nut commodities is preferred.
• Excellent communication with the ability to effectively communicate ideas, goals, and results to superiors.
• Intermediate problem-solving skills; able to assist with creative solutions to unique challenges with experience.
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks and meet constant deadlines with strong attention to detail and quality control.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, stand for periods of time at workstation, and climb stairs at high heights. Ability to work and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception. Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as designated by the company. Primary work environment will be in an office setting. Some work includes being inside the plant manufacturing environment, which may include high levels of noise, working outside where the environment includes exposure to hot, cold, and inclement weather. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 60.0 per week
