FULL DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Warehouse Associate to support warehouse, stockroom, inventory, shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and kitting operations for a life science products environment. This temporary role has potential for temp-to-hire and is responsible for processing orders accurately, packaging and labeling shipments, assisting with inventory management, pulling sample orders, supporting product builds, and maintaining safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have warehouse or stockroom experience, strong attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for: Processing orders accurately and efficiently to meet customer expectations Supporting receiving, picking, packing, and shipping process paths Picking and packing customer orders Supporting kitting and sample order pulling as needed Packaging and labeling shipments according to standard operating procedures Completing required shipment documentation as needed Assisting with proper storage and management of inventory Pulling sample orders Building products as required Working collaboratively with the warehouse team to support a positive and efficient work environment Operating Powered Industrial Truck equipment as needed once trained and authorized Moving, staging, loading, and unloading materials as needed Maintaining compliance with safety protocols Supporting hazardous materials documentation or certification requirements if needed, with training provided Using computers, scanning equipment, warehouse systems, and Microsoft Office applications as needed Working efficiently within deadlines in a fast-paced warehouse environment Maintaining accuracy and attention to detail throughout warehouse tasks Keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe Performing other duties as assigned The selected candidate will also possess: 1+ year of relevant stockroom or warehouse experience preferred Picking and packing experience preferred Kitting experience preferred Receiving and shipping experience preferred Inventory support experience preferred Familiarity with FedEx and UPS shipping programs preferred Basic proficiency with computers required Experience with scanning equipment preferred Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications preferred Microsoft Teams experience preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy required Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment Ability to work independently and solve problems quickly Ability to work as part of a team Commitment to following safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment Ability to wear composite safety shoes or steel-toed shoes required Ability to work onsite in El Cajon, CA Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Ability to support a temporary assignment with potential for temp-to-hire Ability to complete a background check and pre-employment drug test Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and move continuously throughout the shift Ability to walk and navigate warehouse areas and stairs as needed Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 60 pounds Ability to frequently bend, stoop, and reach to handle materials Ability to pick, pack, prepare, label, and stage items accurately and efficiently for shipment Ability to use hands and fingers for picking, packing, kitting, labeling, scanning, computer work, documentation, inventory, and standard warehouse tasks Ability to work with warehouse equipment, scanning equipment, shipping materials, inventory, packages, and related tools as needed Ability to operate Powered Industrial Truck equipment once trained and authorized Ability to follow all warehouse, safety, quality, shipping, inventory, and material handling procedures Ability to maintain accuracy, focus, and attention to detail in a fast-paced warehouse environment
