SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Specialist will assist in a variety of warehouse duties, including unloading and loading trucks, fulfilling warehouse requests, maintaining yard cleanliness and overall warehouse organization. This is a non-union opportunity with Baker Electric in our San Diego region. As a team, you will help to ensure the warehouse successfully supports the field projects timely and accurately.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for receiving trucks and unloading tools, equipment, and trash. Responsible for proper storage and inventory accuracy of material and supplies stored at the warehouse. Stock warehouse with tools and materials in proper locations. Fulfill warehouse requests from field Foreman and stage in proper location. Support Shipping and Receiving team with checking in merchandise and applying request labels as requested. Inspect all orders for damage and missing items. Forward all incoming material delivery paperwork to your designated supervisor for processing. Maintain secured, clean, and organized storage areas in warehouse at all times. Provide back-up driving when needed. Provide support to various departments, including Tool Repair, Rentals, Fleet, and Facilities, as needed. Assist in addressing various facility maintenance needs, including but not limited to general repair work, plumbing, HVAC systems, lighting, furniture assembly, and departmental relocations. Assist in delivery of materials, tools, or fleet vehicles as needed. Conduct inventory assessments of obsolete or surplus items when required. Maintain, clean, and organize the company's warehouse and storage yards to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. Conduct regular safety audits and assist with repairs or the installation of new safety features as needed.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION
2+ years of warehouse operations experience (picking / packing / staging / inventory) Construction experience is a plus High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent experience Ability to lift to 50lbs Reliable and predictable attendance is required Forklift experience preferred
Driving Requirement:
This position requires driving company vehicles. Applicants must have a valid California driver's license and maintain a driving record that meets company requirements. PAY TRANSPARENCY
The starting salary for this opportunity range is listed. Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility based on company and individual performance, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
