Warehouse /Shop Associate

SUMMARY This position performs a variety of tasks associated with yard duties including subscriber terminal maintenance, ship and receive products, maintain inventory of all installation/ construction supplies, maintain a clean yard, data entry of equipment, provide excellent customer service and public relations techniques while performing job duties, and other duties as assigned. Help field crews load and onload supplies. Must be over 21 years old and have clean driving record for insurance purposes. Travel Required 15% of the time.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Maintain a clean, safe, and secure yard and warehouse. Clean construction equipment for the yard. Develop, maintain and submit a variety of reports periodically or on an as needed basis. Assist field crews. Operate a forklift and other material handling equipment. Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or needed repairs to supervisor. Adhere to departmental safety and security standards. Assist in unloading containers from the forklifts and loading them on delivery trucks. Drive delivery truck or accompany truck driver to a destination as needed.

Able to park vehicles:

heavy duty trucks/equipment. Receive product deliveries from manufacturing units and ensure that they are properly stored. Inventory control Arrange items in an organized manner to avoid damage or premature wear and tear. Make sure that the yard and warehouse is clean and organized at all times. Move raw materials to the production areas and finished products to the storage areas Optimize space by ensuring that everything is in its place. Keep shop cleaned including cleaning bathrooms restocking as needed. Perform other duties as assigned in main office.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Applicant must be 21 years of age for insurance purposes. Applicant must have valid driver's license. Applicant must have clean driving records for insurance purposes. Applicant is desired to have valid forklift certification. Applicant is desired to have a Class A Driver's License (Preferred not required). Employee required to remain on his or her feet in an upright position for continuous periods of time. Employee required to walk considerable distances in the facility and on job site. Employee required to raise or lower objects from one level to another regularly during the shift 50 to 100 pounds. Employee required, on a regular basis, to carry objects over 80 pounds. Employee required, on a regular basis, to push and pull 80 pounds. Employee regularly picks up objects with fingers. Employee regularly required to use the hands and arms to reach for objects.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Typical assignments frequently require that work be completed outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Exposure to dirt and dust is routine and may require the use of protective clothing and PPE as needed. Some jobs require travel. Employees are required to bend and reach for considerable periods and/or in confined spaces. The job duties require an employee to work under stressful conditions.
