Our client is a global leader in the design, manufacture, and sale of ophthalmic lenses, eyewear, prescription glasses, sunglasses, and eye care instruments. Essential Functions Prepares and applies coats of paint to frames, stems, and centers by performing the following duties: Receives daily instructions from the supervisor regarding painting requirements based on the production schedule. Loads parts onto racks and cleaning equipment. Prepares and paints the product. Thoroughly inspects painted parts for defects in coordination with Quality Control Inspectors.

Knowledge of and experience with painting techniques using hand guns, spray pumps, and two-component paints. Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide by 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American currency, weight, volume, and distance. Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional or no variables. Ability to maintain attention and concentration for required periods; apply common sense and understanding; follow written, verbal, and diagrammatic instructions; and adapt to situations requiring precise adherence to established limits, tolerances, or standards. This position requires working from detailed instructions. Decisions are made occasionally and may require independent judgment.
