The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in warehouse management, materials handling, and heavy equipment operation, with a focus on safety and efficiency. As a Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate inventory control, safe loading and unloading of goods, and maintaining smooth warehouse operations to meet organizational goals. Duties Operate various material handling equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse. Conduct inventory management activities utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software to track stock levels and ensure accuracy. Perform order picking, packing, and shipping & receiving tasks to fulfill customer orders efficiently and accurately. Maintain compliance with safety regulations such as OSHA standards by using personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safety protocols during all operations. Assist in stocking shelves, organizing storage areas, and managing inventory control procedures to optimize warehouse space utilization. Load and unload materials from trucks using heavy equipment while ensuring proper manual handling techniques to prevent injury. Support warehouse management in implementing logistics strategies that improve workflow efficiency and reduce operational costs. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse operations with familiarity in warehouse distribution, inventory management, and logistics processes. Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, cranes, cherry pickers, forklifts, and pallet jacks safely and effectively. Strong knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA standards and proper use of PPE. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software like AS400 or similar platforms. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately. Prior experience in warehouse supervision or team leadership is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent manual handling skills coupled with the ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary.
