BASIC FUNCTION

Performs general warehouse receiving, stocking, pulling orders and loads trucks; drives a vehicle to deliver materials as assigned; such as inter-district and U.S. mail, bank deposits, supplies, and food services materials and supplies. View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE OF

Store keeping procedures, including methods of proper and orderly storage and issuance of materials. Stock inventory procedures. Requisitions, purchase orders, invoices and delivery reports and the use and meaning of each. Basic math skills. Proper methods of lifting

ABILITY TO

Fill orders accurately from requisitions and to check incoming shipments against purchase orders. Perform manual labor. Drive a forklift and truck. Keep stores and storage facilities in clean and orderly fashion. Follow oral and written instructions. Maintain files and statistical records. Utilize proper telephone procedures and techniques. Maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted during the performance of required duties. Observe legal and defensive driving practices. Be familiar with standard stock materials housed in warehouse. Mobility to stand, stoop, reach and bend; stand for long periods; walk long distances; frequent lifting, pushing and/or pulling of objects which may approximate 75 pounds and may occasionally weigh up to 100 pounds; work within enclosed spaces or at heights above ground level.
