$20.00-$22.00 per hour, depending on experience, plus performance-based bonuses Job Overview DG Home Luxury Staging is seeking an experienced, fast, and highly organized Home Staging Mover, Installer, and Warehouse Specialist . This is not a standard household moving position, delivery-driver role, or forklift-only warehouse job. We need someone with professional experience handling open-box furniture in a home staging, furniture rental, showroom, or specialized moving environment. The ideal candidate knows how to safely wrap, load, transport, install, reposition, and return furniture while protecting the furniture, the client's property, walls, floors, doors, and elevators. This position also includes warehouse organization, inventory control, furniture assembly, minor repairs, installation cleanup, and leadership of other movers when needed. Applicants with previous home staging experience will receive priority consideration. Responsibilities Pick up furniture, artwork, rugs, accessories, and décor from the warehouse according to the project pull list Confirm that all selected items and matching furniture components are complete before loading Professionally wrap open-box furniture using stretch wrap, moving blankets, pads, corner protectors, and other protective materials Load trucks safely and efficiently to prevent furniture damage and maximize available space Drive company vehicles to staging and destaging locations when assigned Unload, unwrap, assemble, install, and position furniture according to the staging plan Move and adjust furniture until every item is placed correctly Protect clients' walls, floors, doors, elevators, and other property during installations and removals Lead or assist other movers and installers while maintaining an efficient workflow Disassemble, wrap, load, and return furniture during destaging projects Clean the installation area, remove wrapping materials and debris, and leave the property ready for client delivery Clean, inspect, prepare, and rewrap furniture and accessories when needed Perform minor furniture repairs, touch-ups, adjustments, and assembly Report damaged, missing, incomplete, or incorrectly labeled inventory immediately Update inventory movements accurately through the company's inventory-management system Keep matching furniture components together, including headboards, bed frames, legs, hardware, table bases, cushions, and other parts Organize the warehouse so inventory is protected, clearly identified, accessible, and easy to locate Create and maintain designated warehouse sections for different furniture and décor categories Help improve warehouse systems to reduce breakage, lost components, loading mistakes, and project delays Maintain trucks, moving equipment, tools, and work areas in clean and organized condition Required Qualifications Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience moving and handling open-box furniture Strong preference for previous home staging, furniture rental, showroom, or high-end furniture installation experience Expert ability to use stretch wrap, moving blankets, pads, straps, dollies, and other furniture-protection equipment Experience loading and unloading trucks safely, quickly, and efficiently Experience assembling and installing beds, tables, sofas, artwork, rugs, and other residential furniture Ability to organize a furniture warehouse and keep related furniture components together Ability to identify and prevent conditions that may cause furniture damage or inventory loss Ability to perform minor furniture repairs, touch-ups, and adjustments Ability to follow staging plans, inventory lists, photographs, and instructions carefully Strong attention to detail, speed, reliability, and professional behavior Ability to work independently and as part of a moving and installation team Flexible weekday availability, including reasonable schedule changes based on project needs Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, and move heavy furniture throughout the workday Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record, as driving company vehicles is an essential function of this position Ability to travel to client properties and project locations throughout the Los Angeles area Comfortable using a mobile inventory or time-tracking application Preferred Qualifications Professional home staging installation and destaging experience Experience handling luxury, delicate, or high-value furniture Experience leading movers or installation crews Experience driving moving trucks or cargo vans Experience setting up or reorganizing a furniture warehouse Furniture repair, touch-up, carpentry, or handyman skills Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills Performance Bonus Opportunities Performance-based bonuses may be available for consistently meeting standards such as: Maintaining an organized and accurate warehouse Preventing furniture and property damage Keeping furniture sets and components together Completing installations safely, efficiently, and on schedule Maintaining accurate inventory records Receiving positive feedback for professionalism and quality of work Bonus eligibility and details will be discussed during the final stage of the hiring process. Important Information Cleaning and final project preparation are part of this position. The installation team is responsible for removing packing materials, organizing the work area, and leaving the property clean and ready for presentation. This is an hourly position. Gratuities or tips from clients are not part of the compensation structure and should not be expected. This position is not a fit for applicants whose experience is limited to forklift operation, packaged-product delivery, general labor, or traditional household moving without professional open-box furniture experience.
