This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring customer orders are processed correctly and on time, and supporting a safe and organized warehouse environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receiving
- Unload incoming shipments safely and efficiently.
- Verify product quantities and inspect materials for damage.
- Accurately receive inventory into the ERP/WMS system.
- Label, stage, and store products in designated locations.
- Report shortages, overages, or damaged materials to management. Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper transaction processing.
- Support cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and assist with corrective actions.
- Ensure products are properly identified, stored, and rotated as required.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage locations. Pick, Pack & Ship
- Accurately pick customer orders according to pick tickets or system-generated orders.
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and customer requirements.
- Package products securely to prevent shipping damage.
- Prepare shipping documentation, labels, and packing slips.
- Stage completed shipments for carrier pickup.
- Ensure customer orders are shipped accurately and on schedule. General Warehouse Operations
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, or reach trucks (certification required where applicable).
- Follow all standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Participate in daily meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist other departments as business needs require.
- Support cross-training efforts and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse, distribution, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification. Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.
